Madame Tussaud's in Washington, DC
Grand Opening - October 5, 2007

I didn't shoot them all because some of them just wouldn't stand still. Unusual art to be
sure, here are a few freaky and not-so-freaky humanesque candles to stare at. Years
ago these things were hands-off and behind ropes -- now they want you to climb on them.
(I only climbed on one.)

L-R from the top down:

... Samuel L. Jackson -- made us all jump upon entry ...
... Thomas Jefferson (my hero) ...
... Jackie and JFK (he wasn't looking his best) ...
... Abraham Lincoln with an open seat next to him in the "balcony" ...
... Harry S. Truman (serious faux gaze, downright freaky) ...
... Ronald Reagan looking tanned from one too many Westerns ...
... Lyndon B. Johnson (another great faux gaze) ...
... Bill Clinton, the Hollywood years ...
... Bob Dylan -- his hair, my friend, was blowin' in the wind (being near a vent is crucial if you're melt-prone) ...
... Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt (good thing they didn't fuse the figures together) ...
... a downright excellent Hillary Rodham Clinton ...
... Johnny Depp was a definite shocker of a welcome to celebrity central ...
... Brangelina again (he had grrreat shoes -- and apparently she was feeling a bit warm) ...
... Will Smith was another startler ...
... Morgan Freeman (one of the eeriest) ...
... George Clooney sits across from you and holds your hand (hope they made several 'cause he won't last long) ...
... Evander Holyfield -- holyMOLY, and minus the bit of ear Mike Tyson chomped off on my b'day ten years ago ...
... Tom Cruise is scary ...

Can you guess which one I climbed on?
